FAQs

Expert pool care for crystal-clear, hassle-free maintenance.

What is included in pool service?

Every visit you can expect your pool water to be tested and balanced so that’s is safe for swimming and the ideal range for your pool equipment. We clean all leaves and debris from the pool so it’s looking it’s very best! We also vacuum, brush and empty the skimmer and pump baskets. Finally, we will do a visual inspection of the equipment area to make sure everything is running properly.

Are there any regular charges in addition to your monthly rate?

None at all! In addition to service, your monthly rate includes all chemicals, conditioner and our phosphate treatment. No quarterly or annual charges for any of that. This is important to remember when comparing pool service rates. Many companies opt to charge annually for these things. We prefer to charge one flat rate and not nickel and dime our customers. The only thing you can expect to pay for aside from any repair costs that may come up is for filter cleanings. That’s it!

How often does my pool filter need cleaned?

Generally a pool filter needs cleaned every 4-8 months depending on the size of the pool, the pool filter and how dirty the pool gets. Since pool filter cleaning isn’t a “one size fits all” we prefer to clean filters as needed.

My previous pool service always used so much chlorine. Is there a way to keep my pool clear without feeling like a hotel pool?

Absolutely! Proper water chemistry is the most important part of your pool’s safety and longevity. Our experienced and knowledgeable Pool Service Technicians are trained on proper chemical balancing which, without getting too “pool nerdy” means the minimal amount of chemicals possible. Our biggest secret is our weekly non-toxic phosphate treatment. By focusing on eliminating all the phosphates in your pool we essentially starve the algae so it can’t start. At that point we’re using minimal chlorine to sanitize the water instead of fight algae.

In the past I’ve had a bad experience with pool companies that used employees. How are you different?

Unfortunately, this industry has many poorly run services. Employees are out on their own with minimal supervision and as you can imagine that leads to cutting corners and bad habits. A big reason for this is many pool companies pay their workers by the pool as independent contractors. This means they make the same amount of money whether they’re at your pool 5 minutes or 20 minutes… spoiler alert, of course they are going to stay the minimal amount of time possible. All of our Pool Service Tech’s are employees of the company and are paid hourly. This doesn’t incentivize them to get in and out as fast as possible. Every Service Tech is also equipped with an app where they check in and out of every stop so we know exactly how much time was spent at each pool and what was done.
